I am the final stages of updating the site so some things maybe missing for the rest of the day, but everything should be up and running by the end of the day.
Rome Boots !?!?
Rome is going to release their new line of boots next season. They will be dropping 5 styles (3 for men, 2 for the ladies). To go along with boots Rome will be dropping 300 of these shirts at selected retailers. If you know about MARS then you will be on the look out for both the boots and the shirt.
ThirtyTwo Latest Happenings
Straight from the Press Release:
“Ultralight is 24 percent lighter than ThirtyTwo’s lightest boot from last season. It’s also the first rubberless snowboard boot ever, and it utilizes a lightweight minimalist shell to eliminate excess weight. The Ultralight is a great freestyle and freeride boot with an advanced articulating cuff shell construction that allows the upper section of the boot to move independently, creating consistent heel hold through the full flex range as well as smoother flex. The Ultralight features an STI Evolution FoamTM one-piece midsole/outsole, and a 3-D Molded Tongue for easier lacing, improved fit and heel hold. It also contains STI System G2TM in the heel to absorb shock and prevent heel bruises.”

Here is a quick update on Volcom… today is the first day of the SIA so at the end of this week check back for some interviews and some new products.

Andreas Wigg Wins The Honda Session in Vail
Andreas Wigg took 1st, David Benedek took 2nd, and Chas Guldemond ended up 3rd. But David Benedek did land the first ever double corked 1260 in a contest.
Quicksilver x DPM x Futura
Quicksilver chose the Data Relay jacket, combined it with DPM’s Fu Splinter (white camo with Futura’s pointman) pattern and added Sikh prints.

Whistler Blackcomb Exceeds All Time Snowfall Record
Straight from the press release:
Following the most recent snowstorm that dropped 22 centimetres or 8 inches in 24hrs, snowfall accumulation totals at Whistler Blackcomb have reached record highs. 877 centimetres or 345 inches of snow has fallen in Whistler so far this season, which is the most the resort has seen by this time in January based on 27 years of snow data analysis. The previous record saw 827 centimetres or 325 inches fall by January 31 of the 1991/1992 season. The current base sits at an incredible 305 centimetres or 120 inches as measured at mid-mountain.
